To sum it up, I love history, ghost lore, tall tales, urban legends, and the like.
In 2004 I purchased the book, "The Wisconsin Road Guide to Haunted Locations" by Chad Lewis & Terry Fisk. I loved reading through the history and ghost lore of each location in the state of Wisconsin. I have toured a number of areas that are reported to be haunted, gone to many museums, and love to legend trip (with my husband and friends).
In 2009 we started a group called, "The Haunting Experiments" and started to check out many places in the area where we live. We bought an EMF, digital recorder, and a few other items. We did investigate some locations, but quite honestly didn't have the patience for it! I have some very good friends that do this on the side, obviously for free, and have so much respect for all the work they do- and taking time out of their busy schedules. Then my husband Tony had a great idea to make short videos of places and put them up online. We did for a couple years and then started a web series, and also completed a full length documentary in 2011.
After we made our documentary, my husband suggested, since I had done historical research for it and had not been able to fit it all into our video, that I should write a book. I have always loved to write since I was a child, so wrote my first book in 2011. In 2012, I wrote two more books- all of which I self-published. Then in 2013 I wrote a book for an actual publishing company. I just finished my 5th book (coming out the spring of 2016) for this same publishing company. :-)
I've met some great people, many who have become lifelong friends. I have also met people that I'd rather forget and have left behind. But to seek out the unknown comes with it's ups and downs and I truly enjoy it no matter what.
I suppose that this blog is fitting for my hobby blogs as a whole, because now that our lives are so much busier, we don't have the time we used to, to work on paranormal projects. But the hubby and I still like to legend trip and get ideas for our next documentary or even a short film.
In this blog, I will be posting about some places we have been to and any stories I'd like to add.
Love this quote below and love Halloween!
